Here’s a little recap about why we do what we do…
Coeliac disease affects 1 in 100 people in the UK, yet only 30% of these cases are actually diagnosed. On average, it can take a whopping 13 years for the disease to be diagnosed, due to the fact that the symptoms are so similar to that of other diseases, such as irritable bowel syndrome and lactose intolerance, to name a couple.
It is also tricky to then establish a healthy diet, as so many staple foods contain gluten such as: bread, pasta, cereals and a whole range of other convenience food and snacks.
We really would like to spread more awareness of this common disease and do what we can to provide good quality food for those who suffer from coeliac disease - this is why we started up The Gluten Free Kitchen in the first place, you can find out more about our story here.
So brace yourself and get ready to live your best gluten free life as we bring to light new product ranges, information on gluten free alternatives and general updates on all things at The Gluten Free Kitchen!
