2022 is here and so is our first menu of the year! Gluten Free Kitchen is now back up and running after a busy end of the year and raring to go with our various tasty bakes. Many of us may be feeling the January blues at the moment but we have put a delicious menu together which is so easy to prep and make, featuring some of our classic favourites and a fruity, heartwarming dessert. So get some friends around the table and enjoy a night full of nattering and laughter alongside a flavoursome meal this January!
Gluten Free with Dairy Free options
This week's starter is another recipe using our own ready to roll gluten-free shortcrust pastry, this time in the form of a quiche packed with spinach, leeks and cheese from Bojon Gourmet. With its flaky outer shell of pastry and savoury custard filling it’s perfect to kick-off a dinner party with, just pop it in the middle of the table and let everyone grab a slice! By using our own ready to roll pastry it makes this recipe even easier and it can be made in advance of your party and left to cool before your guests arrive!

This pie is made from the highest quality top side Staffordshire beef and calves kidney as well as onions and carrots all wrapped up in a freshly made rosemary suet. This fu cabbage, courgettes and some sweet potato mash. This full-flavoured, rich pie, packed full of herbs is the perfect winter warmer. We love to pair this pie with some wilted spinach, a winner of the Highly Commended Award and the Silver Award at the 2019 British Pie Awards!

Who doesn’t love an apple crumble on a cold winter's night? It’s been a staple British dessert for many years since they became popular in Britain during World War II. Back in 2018 it even took the title of Britain's favourite dessert. Our juicy, fruity apple crumble is everything you want in a dessert topped with a crispy, sweet crumble. Keeping it old school, it pairs wonderfully with some warm custard.
