Easter is finally here! We have packed this month’s menu with some great bakes using seasonal ingredients that are even tastier at this time of year. This month's menu is also vegetarian but certainly not lacking in flavour with a classic dessert to top off this April menu. Get the whole family around the table this Easter and enjoy some great gluten free food!

Starter: Spring Herb Tartlets

Use our fantastic ready to roll gluten free shortcrust pastry to make these fantastic tartlets from Delicious Magazine. Filled with fresh, vibrant flavours from spring herbs including chive, parsley and mint they are so easy to make yet so delicious. Perfect for starters or even finger food at events and parties, by using our ready to roll pastry they can be ready in under an hour including baking time! If you get a taste for them, you could even make a whole tart and serve with some potato salad to make it into an irresistible main meal!

Main: Gluten Free Spiced Sweet Potato & Spinach Pie

This yummy little pie is full of bold flavours. Despite it being meat-free it is sure to get your taste buds excited. Filled with roasted sweet potato, tasty spinach and flavoursome mushrooms with a mildly spiced coconut sauce giving it that extra zing all wrapped up in freshly made shortcrust pastry, this pie is not to be passed up! Many of our pies have won various awards and this one is no exception with it winning the silver award at the 2020 British Pie Awards. Serve with a couple of new potatoes and roasted carrots as part of a heartwarming main meal.

Dessert: Gluten Free Simnel Cake

Vegetarian, Dairy-Free, Soya-Free


Easter wouldn't be complete without a classic simnel cake! Fruit cakes aren't just for Christmas and this bake goes all the way back to medieval times with the recipe evolving over the years from a sweet loaf to a sugary cake.  Enjoy a piece of an old favourite with our beautifully made bake full of sultanas, raisins, currants and cherries as well as black treacle and brandy! Encased in sweet marzipan icing this cake is a fantastic Easter treat and a great way to finish off a meal with friends or family and also makes a great centrepiece on the table!
