We were recently contacted by the BBC Good Food Guide who wished to try as well as taste our Ready to Roll Shortcrust Pastry. (See page 114 of the August edition of the magazine). Pastry is very difficult to make as all of you at home know despite the utmost care.
Sue has developed a shortcrust pastry which is gluten, wheat, dairy and soya free. In our view none of the other pastries on the market, and there aren’t very many, don’t compare either in taste or in a form that is easy for the customer to use. You only have to try our own Gluten Free Goats Cheese & Red Onion or cheese and onion tarts to find out. Holly Brooke-Smith of the Good Food Guide tested over 40 gluten free items and found our pastry to her satisfaction. “…. this pastry is versatile and easy to use. Our mini goats cheese tarts were beautifully crisp”. So, now you can make your own pastry favourites with confidence assured.
