Dave is our retired gent who does some office work when necessary, and all the delivering into our
frozen ‘hub’ based at Reed Boardall, in our freezer van.

Being a business partner Dave has been around since the very beginning in 2004.When not at work Dave enjoys playing golf and watching his beloved Newcastle United playing football.

He also enjoys watching any sports available and wishes he could still play!

Sue Fleming

Having started all those years ago doing all the baking herself Sue now spends most of her time in the office and organising so all the departments work in harmony. 

Having started all those years ago doing all the baking herself Sue now spends most of her time in the office and organising so all the departments work in harmony.

She can often be found helping out in the kitchen where she is still the happiest. Sue started as a one-man band, creating the recipes and baking from scratch in our original premises.

As the business has developed and moved into its 4th location, her role has become more managerial and therefore office based. She has trained all the staff and can still get involved in production when necessary).When not at work Sue can be found in the hills of Wensleydale and Bishopdale with her Springer Spaniel walking. Or else growing flowers for her pots and hanging baskets around her home.

Nicky Goodsell

Nicky started with TGFK in September 2020 and works 4 day per week.

Nicky started with TGFK in September 2020 and works 4 day per week. Nicky jumps in and is great at organising and seeing through to the end all jobs asked of her. (Nicky has tremendous enthusiasm in her role, is a good organiser)

Away from work, work Nicky is an avid reader. She enjoys music and walking her pet dog, Dexter.

Ruth started work at TGFK in September 2020 and works part-time, 2 days per week.

A great member of the team who joins us midweek for two days. Ruth is very adaptable and is capable of handling whatever task is required of her.

When not at work Ruth is mad on Northern Soul music, regularly attending lots of concerts and events. She also enjoys reading and walking with her husband, and, very often accompanied by her sons two Springer Spaniels.

Angela started work with us in November 2022 and works 2 days a week.

A great member of the team who joins Tuesdays and Thursdays. Angela has ‘fitted in’ very quickly and is very popular with her working colleagues. A Yorkshire lass who basically just gets on with it. Having had her own catering business Angela understands all aspects of what we do, and to a very high standard.

When not at work Angela enjoys spending time with her family, often having long walks in the countryside, as well as her passion for baking.

Jim joined the TGFK team at the end of January 2023 on a full-time basis. 

Jim joined the TGFK team at the end of January 2023 on a full-time basis. Jim has a detailed background in catering, health and hygiene so will be an asset when it comes to our form completion for our health and hygiene audits. He has previous valuable experience in two other food production companies

Outside of work Jim is a family man with wife and two young sons. He too enjoys walking and reading.

Lastly, we have the baby of our gluten free family.

Lastly, we have the baby of our gluten free family. 18-year-old Stella, who also joined us early in January 2023. Stella is learning the trade of manufacturing for retail and is currently working for us 4 days per week. So far we are more than impressed!

Stella is passionate about horses and so spends lots of time around them when she is not at TGFK.

Bertie is our resident mischief maker.

Bertie is our resident mischief maker. He loves exploring the Dales and when he is not on an adventure with Sue and Dave he can be found pinching slippers or playing with his favourite ball.

Laura full-time worker in May 2020. With Laura’s previous baking experience, she soon became ‘lead’ in the kitchen in relation to other staff members.

Laura is currently on maternity leave.

‘lead’ in the kitchen in relation to other staff members, this has allowed Sue to be more resident in the office.

As the lead, Laura can cope with all aspects of the operational side of the bakery relatingto ordering ingredients, instruction of other members of staff and ensuring all orders are produced diligently and on time. As a result, the bakery production can be maintained in Sue’s absence.

When not at work Laura enjoys music and baking. Her favourite animal is a pig having had ‘pet’ pigs as a child on her parents pig farm!
